About the Sullivan Family
[The Sullivan family has a long history associated with Providence Bay.
George Campbell grandfather of William Blair Sullivan homesteaded immediately outside of Providence Bay.
He subsequently moved his family to Saskatchewan for greener pastures. Gerald and Ann (daughter of George) returned to the Island for an extended vacation in 1948 and purchased the current property in 1949 beginning nearly 70 years of Sullivan family settlement in Providence Bay.
William Blair and Lillian Sullivan continued to operate Sullivan's Cottages eventually sharing operational duties with children Blair and Ann and grandchild, Ben.]
